CAMFT State of the Profession Webinar

Who: SBCAMFT members and Non-SBCAMFT members  (Join now!)

When: Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Description: Join CAMFT Executive Director, Joy Alafia, CAE for an understanding about events, legislation, and internal association processes that are currently impacting CAMFT members. Designed for Mental Health Professionals, this presentation will discuss general CAMFT issues and the importance of a Professional Will. There will also be updates from BBS, as well as California and Federal legislative updates. Finally, discussion on why it is important to avail yourself of the Legal Consultation service CAMFT provides. There will be ample time for Q&A.

Cost: FREE for SB CAMFT members, $15 for non-members

About the Presenter: 


Joy Alafia, CAE brings more than 17 years of association leadership experience to her new position. She begins her role at CAMFT after her tenure as the President and CEO of the Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA), where she has advocated for renewable propane and equitable access for alternative sources of clean energy. Joy has spoken around the world about the importance of sustainable energy and is credited with transforming the propane industry's focus and shifting its priorities to the commercialization of net zero-carbon energy solutions.

Additional Notes Pertaining To Our Policy As A CE Provider:

1) This course has been designed for a mental health professional that include LMFT's, LCSW's, LPCC's, and LEP's. Also, Pre-licensed and Associate members may earn hours of experience for attending the Santa Barbara Chapter of CAMFT workshops as approved by their supervisor.

2) Refund/Cancellation Policy: Attendees may cancel registration and request a refund one week from the time of the event.

4) To obtain the grievance policy or report a grievance please email events@sbcamft.org.

5) Course Completion Certificates will be awarded at the end of the course in exchange for a completed evaluation form.

6) Course meets the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

7) SB CAMFT provider number (57942).

8) Santa Barbara Chapter CAMFT is Approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFT's, LCSW's, LPCC's, and LEP's. Santa Barbara Chapter of CAMFT maintains responsibility for this program/course and content.
