SBCAMFT Memberships

Join our community.

Becoming a member of the Santa Barbara Chapter of CAMFT offers a valuable opportunity to connect with the local community of clinicians, mental health providers, and agencies. SBCAMFT fosters a supportive environment where members can collaborate, share resources and referrals, and work together on community events. Additionally, we offer a variety of continuing education classes and events to help enhance your clinical practice.

While many of our members are trainees, associates, or licensed marriage and family therapists, membership is open to all mental health professionals. We also welcome psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, local mental health agencies, graduate schools, and other community partners who are interested in joining a dynamic and engaged professional network.

Access to the Forum

Members have free, unlimited access to our online forum, connecting you with hundreds of colleagues for a variety of professional needs. Whether you're seeking referrals, sharing announcements about workshops or classes, looking for office space, exploring job openings, or participating in active discussions relevant to the field, the forum provides a dynamic space to collaborate and stay informed. Our Forum replaces our former E-tree (listserv) which allows you to keep your email inbox clear and now see other's responses.

Therapist Directory Listing

As a member, you'll be featured in our online Therapist Directory, giving potential clients immediate access to your professional listing. You can include a link to your personal website, where you can showcase detailed information about your practice, training, specializations, and other factors that highlight what makes you unique. Our directory allows clients to easily search for therapists by name, location, specialization, insurance accepted, and group offerings—helping you connect with the right clients and grow your practice.

Professional Development

Members have access to a range of professional development benefits designed to enhance your career and expertise. We offer quarterly Continuing Education Unit (CEU) offerings, including discounted Law and Ethics CEUs through our partnership with State CAMFT, providing valuable opportunities to expand your knowledge and stay current in the field. We also partner with Therapist Development Center (TDC) and can offer discounted CEU course codes to SBCAMFT members. These benefits are designed to support your growth, whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your practice.

As an SBCAMFT member, you’ll have exclusive access to social mixers, networking events, and community engagement opportunities designed to foster meaningful connections with fellow professionals. These events provide a relaxed, supportive environment where you can collaborate, share insights, and build relationships that enhance your practice. Whether you're looking to expand your network or simply connect with like-minded colleagues, our events are a valuable resource for personal and professional growth. Examples of events include our Holiday Party, Summer Mixer, coffee with SBCAMFT, yoga, hiking, camping, book club, happy hour and much more.

Our membership is comprised of over 400 local students, trainees, associates, clinicians, mental health providers and clinicians working for agencies throughout Santa Barbara County. State CAMFT membership is required for all membership types.

NEW TO SBCAMFT: our All-Access memberships include your annual membership PLUS all CE trainings and event fees for any event that SBCAMFT hosts (separate fees may apply for special events such as camping or retreats and will be specified).  Save 20% off regular SBCAMFT membership and event fees by purchasing an all-access membership. Please note: All-Access memberships do not apply to CAMFT events (only SBCAMT).

Choose Your Membership

  • Clinical Membership

    80$
    Every year
    Clinical members shall hold a license as a marriage and family therapist issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences for the State of California. Must also be a member of State CAMFT.
     

  • Associate Membership

    35$
    Every year
    Associate members shall have completed all educational requirements for licensure and be engaged in the process of gaining experience hours as a registered associate. Must be a member of State CAMFT.
     

  • Student Membership

    25$
    Every year
    Student members shall be enrolled in a master’s or doctorate program that meets the educational requirements for the LMFT exam and not already licensed as an MFT. Must also be a member of State CAMFT.
     

  • Affiliate Membership

    80$
    Every year
    Annual membership for a licensed professional or student in a related field (not working towards or holding a LMFT license). Must also be a member of State CAMFT.
     

  • All-Access Clinical Membership

    200$
    Every year
