My name is Justine Andersen, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #140008, supervised by Crystal Ramirez PhD, LMFT (#48909) PMH-C. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology, Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where my orientation to psychodynamic therapy was born. I completed practicums at University of Santa Barbara’s Counseling and Psychological Services working with the college student population, as well as at New Beginnings Counseling Center, a non-profit community mental health center in Santa Barbara, CA.
I am currently accepting new clients, in person in Santa Barbara, or via telehealth. I am able to accept both private pay clients and CenCal clients. I am interested in working with new or pregnant mothers, adults, couples, groups, and families with adult children. I am not taking any minor clients at this time.
I am a depth psychodynamic therapist with an overarching orientation of feminist theory, with close attention to attachment, trauma informed, and am a LGBTQ+ Safe Zone. My professional experience includes working with trauma, anxiety, depression and suicidality, characterological disorders, anger issues (including court mandated), parent loss, life phase issues, and relationship issues.
I am efficient, organized, and timely, so any referrals to me will be accepted with care and attention, and are deeply appreciated. I am so excited to be part of this community, and I look forward to connecting with you in the future.
