About The Event

Neurodivergent Clinicians Affinity Group


The Neurodivergent Clinicians Affinity Group is intended for therapists who identify as neurodivergent, such as folks with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, learning differences, and other neurodivergent experiences and identities. Kassiane Asasumasu, an activist who coined the term neurodivergence, describes it as encompassing anyone who process information, learns, or behaves differently from what our dominant society dictates as "normal" or "typical." This group will seek to provide clinicians with an intersectional space to process the challenges in navigating a predominantly neurotypical world, as well as challenges that show up within our professional capacities. Interested members voted on this group prioritizing topics of: networking, social connection and community building, peer consultation, and advocacy and community care.
