LGBTQIA2S+ Clinicians Affinity Group

The LGBTQIA2S+ Clinicians Affinity Group is intended for therapists who identify as LGBTQIA2S+. This includes (but is not limited to) folks who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual and/or Aromantic, Two-Spirit, Pansexual, Non-Binary, and Genderfluid. 

Being a queer-identified clinician can very much shape how we experience our work — from navigating visibility and disclosure, to working within systems and communities that may not always understand or affirm our identities, to drawing upon our lived experiences in our relationships with clients and colleagues, (particularly when living in a small, close-knit town!) This space invites us to process the intersections of our identities, our experiences, and our professional selves. Interested members voted on this group prioritizing topics of: social connection and community building, peer consultation, advocacy and community care, and networking.
