This presentation walks through the approved updates to Section 6 of the CAMFT Code of Ethics, which addresses Telehealth, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It explains what the changes mean in practice and how they guide therapists in responsibly using digital tools and AI across clinical work, supervision, documentation, practice management, education, and public-facing activities. The presentation also highlights how the revisions ensure that technological innovation does not diminish therapist accountability, reinforce the importance of professional judgment, and establish clear ethical guardrails for competence, informed consent, confidentiality, disclosures, and legal compliance.
