Diversity Book Club: Decolonizing Therapy

SBCAMFT’s Diversity Subcommittee is inviting you to join our final 2026 meeting of the Diversity Book Club!

The Diversity Book Club has met once monthly this year for intentional conversation on Dr. Jennifer Mullan’s trailblazing book Decolonizing Therapy: Oppression, Historical Trauma, and Politicizing Your Practice. We've reflected on our own histories, identities, and lived experiences, and discussed a number of topics: from diagnoses, historical trauma, grief and rage, to a number of emotional-decolonial tools, practices, and concepts. For our final gathering of the year, we'll be bringing all of our learning and unlearning to a close, and together celebrate the work we have done with good food and good company.
