About The Event

Art therapy is a distinct and effective type of therapy that requires specialized experience, training, and supervision. There are many misconceptions and outdated ideas about what art therapy is, who can utilize it and how, and who can benefit from it. This presentation will provide an overview of the contemporary art therapy and its wide-ranging use with adult populations. Attendees can participate in a guided art-making experience, and come away with a better understanding of how making art may be ethically integrated into their practice.
