About The Event
55+ Clinicians Affinity Group
The 55+ Affinity Group is for therapists who are 55 years of age or older (though folks who are a few years younger are welcome too!) This space offers the opportunity to connect with colleagues who share similar life and career stages, exchanging our perspectives, and fostering meaningful professional relationships and referral sources. Conversations of possible topics might include: career longevity, life, family, and career transitions, mentorship, work-life balance, changes in the mental health field, technology, professional expectations, alongside other areas identified by our members. We are particularly interested in exploring the impacts of aging on both our personal and professional lives, and the dichotomous nature of being perceived as wise and respected in some spaces, while also feeling the impact of ageism, through feeling invisible or less-than, in other spaces.
