I am delighted to announce my new professional role as an Associate MFT therapist under the supervision of Gary Linker, MFT., Ph.D. I am available for new clients and offer a sliding scale.
I completed my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University and have been fortunate to have had opportunities to accumulate hours at the Center for Successful Aging and the senior living facility Gardens on Hope.
I believe the bravest thing you can do is to begin to understand your own story. At the same time, therapy should not be a stale, clinical experience. I aim to make the therapeutic experience genuine. I help clients form stronger, more authentic relationships in a judgment-free zone. What makes each of us vulnerable is also what makes each of us unique. Life is too short to surrender to bad relationships, feel insecure, keep holding onto past grudges, let trauma control us, or be anxious/angry all the time. With a therapeutic style that is energizing and motivating, my goal is to empower clients to make positive changes.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who want to be free of emotional pain. I help clients find meaning & purpose in work, family, friendships, spirituality, and other life areas, and I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds. As a wounded healer, I understand how to facilitate change in those I help.
If you know someone who can benefit from therapy or needs to change or shift for the better, I hope you will give them my contact information and encourage them to call me.
Warm regards,
Ashley Corbett-Nancarrow, M.A (805)708-7026
